Potted_Sas

My work in clay reflects my love of the endless opportunities it offers to create unique handmade items.

I make functional stoneware wheel thrown pots with a focus on the form and proportions of each item together with abstract hand-built forms inspired by nature. Thrown forms are decorated with a combination of glazes that react with each other to create unique effects with a depth and complexity to the result.  My goal with these pieces is to produce pieces that are practical as well as a pleasure to look at hold and use.

I currently teach the Introduction to Pottery together with the Sip and Spin classes at Putney School or Art and Design and taster classes at Sheen Pottery Studio and very much enjoy sharing my passion for clay with students.
