Commission for dog sculpture

Very sadly we have lost our German Shepherds (Sasha and Kia) and we’re looking for a handmade figurine of them both, ideally side by side. We’ve had our previous dog (Sadie) made years ago but the artist is no longer trading.

Attached are photos of the Sadie sculpture as well as Sasha and Kia. The Sadie sculpture is about 5 inches in both height and length and we’d like a similar size sculpture for the other two.

We’re based in Lowestoft and are happy to discuss further details with interested artists.

Vent Axia Extractor Fan

Quiet and powerful Vent-Axia extractor fan, good for a pottery studio with brick walls, powerful enough to ventilate a classroom with a large kiln.

Vent-Axia W161510 (6″) Axial Commercial Extractor Fan Soft-Tone Grey 220-240V.

I bought it for £430 but will sell for £200 (collect from NR11 or pay for shipping).

It was wrongly recommended to us for our studio but our plasterboard walls are too thin to install it, so it is unused, still in the box. Hence good if you have brick walls!

Old Cromartie Kiln

Extremely heavy Cromartie electric kiln. It’s very old and was originally obtained to convert to gas, but never got around to it. May still work as an electric kiln – but could not guarantee this.

Comes with 2 kiln shelves, props and some raw materials (including rutile).

Buyer to collect from Norwich. Will take at least 4 people to lift, and a weight-bearing vehicle will be needed for transport.

Asking £100 ono, but really I just want rid of it!

Leach/Woodley-style kick wheel

I was given this to rescue and use.  Lack of time and crook hips mean that is never going to happen.

We have greased and scrubbed it. Added wheels to level it after having to take off some of the rotten wood where is got damp.  Now at a loss.  Reluctant to scrap it if someone can use the wood or make it lovely again.

It has had a sorry life.  Wheel head and cam/turn mechanism rusty.

No idea if all bits are here but lovely copper lined wooden tray definitely is not. Wood seems sound and the kick bar/ weight do move if creaking and unevenly. It came with a wooden seat bracket that had been painted but no actual seat to rest your bottom on.

I learned on one of these 40 years ago and would be sad to see it go to the tip or become shelves.

If you are up for a challenge it is collect from Norwich.

Commission to make a part for a vintage water filter

I am restoring a vintage Berkefeld water filter (picture attached) so it can once again fulfil it’s intended purpose.

I need a sort of bucket, with a small sturdy lip, to sit in the top and hang about half way down the main container. Then there will be a small hole in the centre for the filter to screw into.

Measurements will have to be quite specific to ensure everything fits so I have attached an annotated cross section of what the finished product will be.

The only other requirement would be for it to be fully glazed with a food safe glaze. I know it’s not very exciting but a clear glaze will be fine as it will not be visible.

If anyone would like to offer their services please do get in touch and we can discuss finer details and of course price.
