What excites me the most are ideas, experimentation and endless possibilities. These three elements transcend the material, medium and even the making. My main influences come from nature and man made structures. I love history and people and often these aspects reflect in my work. 

I love to combine techniques and materials to come up with something different. In addition to Ceramics I love drawing and illustration, combining medium and inspiration. Sketching is a way to express my ideas quickly, free from criticism and accepting of imperfection. 

Workibg with ceramics I use varying techniques to achieve a balance between controlled and spontaneous expression. I articulate this in my work using a combination of geometric and organic elements. This reflects my need to understand the ever changing relationship between the natural world and manmade structures.
