I make wall-pieces and small sculptures – many of them birds.  A common aspect is interest in surface texture and contrasts, for instance inside/outside, strength/fragility, natural/artificial.  Currently I am also enjoying using underglaze colours, often dribbled on so that the colours explore the textured surfaces.  Some pieces are finished in low-temperature wood firings, some are earthenware, and some are stoneware and can be placed out of doors.
