Potter’s Statement

The idea of creating a vessel, with the rich history that surrounds forms made of clay, is one that continually excites me. The process of throwing, turning, decorating and firing always feels fresh and new to me, each piece taking on a life of its own.

My lifelong fascination with colour and line has found expression in my current work, the inspiration for which, in many ways, is a culmination of my life experiences. As I lay each line down on the surface of the clay I am making my mark – Joyfully.
