I am a potter who is always experimenting and learning new skills. At the moment I am enjoying the multitude of different patterns and colours which seem to magically appear when using smoke fired, pit fired and saggar firing techniques on unglazed highly burnished pieces. I love to use these random effects on my very tactile “Pebble” shapes that simply call out to be touched and caressed!
I have recently been inspired by the flint arrowheads found at Sutton Hoo and have used that basic shape for inspiration for my Arrowhead landscape pieces to reflect the wonderful Suffolk landscapes and skies.
