Phil Stearn

I trained at Suffolk College and at Farnham and worked for a year at Le Dieu Pottery in Norwich.

My work is mostly one-off pieces based on traditional pot forms, for example: vases, beakers, dishes and bottles.

The pieces are in Terracotta clay or White earthenware and are decorated with slips, underglazes, carving and glazes.

Inspiration comes from many sources including japanese oribe ware and some of the many great potters working now and in the past.
