I make handmade contemporary vessels inspired by the salt marshes and tidal coast line that surround me. The vessels are handbuilt in smooth stoneware clay using a variety of handbuilding and decorative techniques. Coloured slips are applied and they are then carefully burnished. After an initail bisque firing, masks are then applied and the vessels are smoke fired in sawdust for up to 24 hours. I make small intimate items as well as large statement peices and am happy to work on commission.
