Maurice Young

A potter for over 50 years. Works in stoneware and porcelain with crystal and crackle finishes. A Selected Member of Anglian Potters and a member of The Sussex Guild.

Began pottery working with Tony Benham in Kent producing mainly domestic ware in stoneware.

Moved to Essex where work in Porcelain and crackle glazes led to his being a Selected Member of Anglian Potters. With the help of Peter Lane this work and its firing was extended; the crystal glaze was also used.

His work has been exhibited in European countries and many counties in the south of England.
