Jeremy Peake

Ever since I signed up for a pottery 'O' level course in 1983, when I was lucky enough to have an inspirational teacher called Duncan Ellison, I have tried to learn as much as I can about potters, pots, kilns, clays and glazes. I feel as though I have barely scratched the surface of the subject, which is why I like it so much.

For many years I made sculptural work, as well as production and commemorative earthenware pottery. These days I make thrown and slab built pots in porcelain and stoneware and raw glaze them. They are reduction fired in a gas kiln.
