Fran’s Ceramics

I have a small studio in Norfolk where I hand build in a range of stoneware clays. What I love most is to take a lump of clay and see where it leads me – usually to something uncategorisable and thus loosely termed a vessel. I collect random items to use for texture and I carve my own stamps. In addition, I make functional pieces in various sizes and styles – bowls, plates, mugs, soap dishes, vases – and these are where I have fun with colour and pattern. I love experimenting, and produce small groups of related items before pursuing another idea.
