Drift pots

I have always loved ceramics and was briefly introduced to clay and sculpture at school. Many years later, after some very instructive and enjoyable lessons with Norfolk potter Richard Wilks I bought my own wheel and became totally obsessed with the art of potting.

I now work from home in Worthing, Norfolk. I use a variety of stoneware clays and my pots are then high fired in an electric kiln.

I use a variety of glazes which I apply using a traditional mouth blown spray technique. I layer my glazes to create depth and beautiful effects which are particularly beautiful in bright light. Pots are often further decorated by exposing the raw clay, combining different glazes and over painting by hand.

My work is constantly evolving and is produced slowly in very small batches. Every pot is unique and totally handmade. Some may be similar but never the same.

All my pots are made to be beautiful in their own right, but many look particularly nice when filled with flowers and grouped together.

The bowls are fully functional and all the glazes food safe.
