On the Brink

After studying 3 Dimensional Design at the Berkshire College of Art and Design back in the early 80’s I had a long career in interior design. I moved to the Fens in 1986 and have grown to love the big open skies and wide flat landscapes and it was here that I jointly ran a successful interior design business for many years.

It was whilst I was at art college that I was introduced to ceramics under the tuition of Geoffrey Eastop and Mark Donaldson.  I am a handbuilder and am currently working predominantly in stoneware creating a variety of vessels and wildlife sculptures which I like to use as a canvas for my art using coloured slips, underglazes and sgraffito.

Having moved back to my hometown of Windsor in early 2023 I am currently experimenting with my art and am looking forward to transferring these skills to my ceramics with both form, colour and texture once I have studio space.
