Claire Knight

I have a degree in Ceramics from Farnham and was lucky enough to work as apprentice to John Leach, Muchelney and A. & J. Young, Lower Gresham in the mid-eighties. I was then forced to change careers for financial reasons and worked in the print industry for over 20 years, including 10 years working freelance for Emma Bridgewater designing her product catalogues.

In 2011 I started working as a paper cut artist which led to me opening The Hare and Moon Gallery at Alby Crafts & Gardens where I sold local art and crafts between 2013-2018. The gallery was next door to Helen Dixon's studio at Anglia Clay Supplies where I rediscovered pottery after a 30 year break.

I have just built my own Olsen fast-fire type wood kiln and set up a small pottery in a studio in my garden. The first firing was in March 2019.
