Diana Capstick (2054)
Diana Capstick
Capstick (she/her) is a research-based interdisciplinary artist whose practice centers on the materiality of clay and textiles, exploring their potential as vessels for storytelling, resistance, and historical reclamation. Rooted in feminist witchcraft and material alchemy, her work investigates the intersections of myth, power, and marginalised voices, weaving together ceramic and textile traditions to challenge dominant narratives. Through extensive research into historical craft practices and contemporary social-political discourse, she constructs sculptural forms that embody both fragility and resilience. Currently completing her MA at Falmouth University, Capstick collaborates with historians and eco-textile artists to push the boundaries of ceramics and weaving, creating immersive installations that engage audiences in dialogue around material culture, craft, and feminist histories.
