Art Barn- Dave King

The Art Barn is a lovely Studio space in Gamlingay, Cambridgeshire, where Dave King and Helen DAlton produce their work.

They are both artists and qualified teachers with many year’s experience, who run small and friendly evening classes, and 1 day courses in Drawing and Painting, Ceramics, Batik and Printing. Classes are limited to 8 people so with 2 teachers there’s plenty of room for individual expression along taught themes.

Hand built ceramics classes are on Wednesday and Thursday evenings 7.30-9pm, and Thursday afternoons 2pm -3.30pm, broadly following the school half terms. Art classes are on Monday evenings 7.30-9pm.

We specialise in Raku and Pit Fired work so please email for our current programme of classes, or to purchase our work. Three times a year we host a Raku and Pit Firing Day on a Saturday just for our class members.

Helen makes expressive bird and animal sculptures fired in the electric or Raku kiln. Dave makes Raku and Pit Fired vessels.
