I make Porcelain and stoneware hand thrown and hand built vessels both glazed and unglazed. Inspired by a trip to Cambodia, pre-Covid, dragonflies have become a feature of some of my work.
My love affair with clay started more than thirty years ago when I attended a one year evening course in ceramics in London. A move to Norfolk and a course course with Paul Jackson fired an interest in working with porcelain. A further move to Essex and a course with Bob Mowle, to learn hand throwing, convinced me that there was nothing else which made me so happy.
Since attending an Anglian Potters camp I have been concentrating more on Raku firing, particularly copper fumed and burnished stoneware with horsehair.
