Andy Wright

Andy’s work can best be described as being ’from the sublime to the ridiculous’.

For sublime he makes simple pieces of pottery developed from simple designs.

For the ridiculous, he dreams up and then creates highly impossible, yet somewhat plausible, machines that, at times, require complex construction to a point that it even pushes  the boundaries of the clay itself.

In 2024 Andy lost the use of the pottery facilities that he was using and had an enforced break from pottery but fortunately in 2026 a friend offered him the use of her pottery studio which he gratefully accepted so he is now able to continue his work. (Thank you Sally)
