A FOLLOW ON POTTERY COURSE
The course is for a maximum of ten students, taught by professional ceramicist Neville Tatham and is aimed at those who have some experience of working with clay. Students will be encouraged to work towards personal projects using the potter’s wheel and hand building techniques.
Everyone will be encouraged to explore and experiment with different skills and techniques in a friendly and supportive environment.
10 am to 1 pm, Mondays 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th March and Monday 20th April. The long gap is to accommodate Essex schools’ Easter break.

A workshop in the Lot region of SW France where we combine hand building, throwing, eating beautiful fresh homemade food and drinking local wine in a wonderful relaxed environment.
The course can be adapted to suit your needs, 6 students to 2 tutors. There is time in the afternoon to hone your skills in the workshop or explore the local area.
We have 3 electric wheels, an electric kiln and a gas one on the way. We generally use a white stoneware clay and the courses vary depending on which guest tutor accompanies me. Whether it's Emily Myers, Katherine Winfrey or Jennifer Hall. The emphasis could be throwing tall pieces, slip trailing, sgraffito, handles, texture, you name it we can adapt!!
