Antony Mauder, Mauder Ceramics

My introduction to pottery was as a five-year-old in my grandparents’ studio in Hertfordshire. They fled Prague in 1938 and later studied ceramics at Harrow School of Art. Having set up a studio at their home in the early 70s they held sales and exhibitions all over the UK and Europe, including at the Craft Potters’ Association in London. After being taught the basics by them when i was young I returned to clay after a gap of many years. I now make functional and decorative ceramics, with a focus on form and texture. I particulary enjoy make ceramic table lamp bases. I am based in Barley on the Herts/ Cambridgeshire border.
