Tony Pugh

It is with great sadness that we bring you the news that Selected Member, Tony Pugh, passed away last Wednesday at the Arthur Rank Hospice in Cherry Hinton.  He passed away peacefully, with his wife, Dorothy, at his side. Tony had been suffering from cancer for some time.  Tony was not only a good potter, but a thoroughly nice gentleman, helpful with his time and advice, exhibiting regularly, and often adding his expertise to assessments of selected member applications.  Towards the end of last year, Tony had decided that his workshop needed to be sorted out, as he could no longer work, and with his usual generous nature, he donated his superb home built gas kiln to Anglian Potters, to be reconstructed at our new kiln site (when we are allowed out to start work again). This will give us something to remember him by.

Under the current circumstances, the funeral arrangements haven't been made, but as soon as there is any information, we will publish it on the AP website.
