My career allowed me to travel extensively and my interest in ceramics grew after visiting the Far East in particular. I also enjoyed the American ceramic tradition.
It was not until we moved to Norfolk, changing our lifestyle completely, that I was able to comtemplate making ceramuics myself. I did a two year course, developing my throwing skills as much as possible. I have my own studio, where I continue to develop my throwing skills, as well as now making some larger sculptural pieces.
I use a stoneware clay and a limited range of glazes, whcih I have selected to fit my style of throwing.
