Rowan is a well-respected, vibrant and active charity, with a strong track record of creating beautiful, high quality art.
Rowan was started in 1984 to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities and, through the medium of arts & crafts, enhances the lives of people with learning disabilities, as well as being a platform for reducing social isolation and progressing skills development.
Rowan is led by a team of practising artists working across a range of disciplines and mediums which include wood, print and ceramics. Rowan has experience of working with and facilitating the participation of community groups and organisations in the process of producing original public and private art commissions as well as practical/functional pieces.
