|When:||Sunday, , 10:00- 16:00|
|Where:||Mundford Village Hall|
Anna Lambert studied 3D Design and ceramics at Bath Academy of Art and University of Central Lancashire, and has been working full time in her studio producing her distinctive earthenware since 1980. Anna currently works from her Crosshills studio that she shares with painter David Thomas. She has exhibited widely throughout the UK including solo exhibitions at the Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh and at Contemporary Ceramics, London, and in galleries in Europe and USA.
Using a range of techniques including altered clay slabs, modelling, slip and underglaze painting and various simple printmaking methods, Anna Lambert has developed her hand built forms to reflect a connection with her locality and to the fragile and constantly changing environment, responding to places as diverse as wild bleak moorland and bird-filled hedgerows. Display of members’ work: for a change, we would like to have a display made up of work by new members or those who have never bought examples of their work. Please bring your work!
‘Exchange and Mart’ – there will be tables for small items for sale or exchange
Lunch. Bring your own, or join in with the ‘pot luck lunch’. Bring a plate of food to share, enough for four portions, either savoury, salad or cake, put your contribution on the table when you arrive. Cold food only please. We still need volunteers to take the cling film etc. off shortly before lunch and to set up the urns and cups for tea and coffee (so people can help themselves). Cakes will still be served at teatime. We have now introduced ‘bring your own cup’, this helps to prevent land fill waste and washing up.
There will also be a raffle of work by Anna.
