Anglian Potters

Victor Knibbs

I came to ceramics from an earlier career in Architecture. I retrained as an art teacher, and taught Pottery, Art and Design from 1974 to retirement in 1993.

My work is mainly handbuilt, electric fired stoneware although more recent work has been raku fired.

My influences include the architecture and sculpture of the Modern Movement, and Mathematics. The work and philosophy of the Romanian Sculptor Constantin Brancusi is also a major inspiration.

I am a Selected Member of Anglian Potters and currently its Chairman. I have exhibited in every Anglian Potters exhibition and at many other galleries, in both group and one-man shows, since 1980. I Work in a small studio workshop at home, and welcome visitors strictly by appointment.
