Sally Reilly
- Career began in Paris,1978 as an apprentice at
lAtelier du Cheval a lEnvers.
- Joined a potters collective in Clapham, then production
thrower at Chelsea Pottery, Workshop in Cambridgeshire 1991 Co-ordinator of
Cambridge Open Studios.
- Influenced by the artisanal traditions of East and West,
throwing is Sallys love and forte. Her one-off pieces, sold though
galleries and from her studio exploit this passion and skill through
experiments with form and finish.
- 'Sienna' a range of tableware in stoneware, decorated
with iron bearing glazes some striped with a white glaze.
- Electric fired to 1290C Festival a range of
tableware in white earthenware decorated with coloured slips and glazed in a
transparent glaze electric fired to 1120C.
- One-off pieces vary but are mostly stoneware decorated
with superimposed glazes.
