I produce colourful maiolica pottery which is designed and priced to be suitable for everyday use. Typical items include bowls, goblets and casserole dishes as well as larger individual pots and complete dinner services. Plates are made on a jigger and jolley, all other pieces are hand thrown, the decoration is lively and is applied mainly with brushes and shaped sponges.
I work in a converted Methodist chapel in the village of Woodnewton in east Northamptonshire. There are also woodcarving and puppet making studios as well as a showroom.
The centre is open to the public and I run weekend maiolica decorating courses.
