Anglian Potters

Selected Membership

What is it?

When Anglian Potters was first founded, galleries offering exhibition space to us wanted to be assured of the standard of work submitted. Our answer to this challenge was selected membership. Selected membership is the association's seal of quality. All our selected members are excellent potters. Having said this, you have only to visit one of our open exhibitions to see that not all our best potters have become selected members.

How do I become a selected member?

A selection committee meets once a year to consider applications. Any member can apply. You will need to submit a portfollio plus examples of your best work. For full details, talk to the selected membership secretary.

Benefits and Obligations

The main benefit of becoming a selected member is access to exhibitions organised by Anglian Potters, exclusively for selected members, such as our stand at Hatfield Art in Clay. In return for the extra opportunities and support, you are expected to be an active member of Anglian Potters: contributing to the running of Anglian Potters, submitting work to our open exhibitions and offering help and advice to other members.
