Christine Hester Smith works in earthenware using throwing, slab-building and extrusion techniques. She then decorates her work using both slips and glazes.
The finished result is a combination of illustration, form and function. Her enjoyment of drawing, and love of humour and the illustrative line find their expression in the spontaneous medium of fluid slip and clay.
