Potters Camp

Booking forms went out out with the February magazine. Applications have flooded in and the camp is now full.

Highlights

2006 will see a number of new kilns being built. Salt and soda firing capacity will be increased. There will be a new gas reduction kiln. The wood kiln will also be replaced with a new kiln capable (so we hope) of stoneware temperatures.

In addition to the firings, various activities will be organised. Ray Auker will give a teapot making demonstration. Geoff Lee will demonstrate printing on ceramic. And Mark Boyd will lead terra sigillata decoration and smoke firing experiments.

There will be the usual clay, wheels and slab roller available. And we hope to show some ceramics related films.

Prices will be: potting adults £50, Students and non-potting partners £25. The summer social is open to all, free of charge, simply bring a contribution of food and drink, plus a chair to sit on and a plate and cutlery to eat with.
